Odyssey considers the family system to be an essential factor in each student’s success, both during the program and after graduation. Each family is assigned a Field Therapist who will work with you and your child throughout the program. Through weekly phone conferences, written reports and letters exchanged between you and your son or daughter, you will learn to create an open and productive communication environment between the various members of your family.
Parents are given a Parent Curriculum that closely corresponds with the curriculum students complete on course. As you progress through this workbook, you will embark on a journey of growth and self-discovery that parallels your child’s experience on trail, and find new solutions to the challenges you previously encountered as a family. Guided by your therapist, you will use this curriculum to develop personal tools and parenting skills that will assist you in creating the home life you have always desired.
